I've had irrigation experience going back about 45 years. I can tell the potential quality of a sprinkler by its components, like most things I suppose. The impact sprinkler itself is made up of quality formed metal components. Not plastic. Many cheap impact sprinklers, especially in the 1/2 inch size, are made of plastic. The legs on the tripod are easy to set and seem to hold well. The legs are adjustable if the sprinkler needs to be leveled or angled. As my natural grasses, wild flowers and shrubs grow through the season, this sprinkler will be able to shoot the water above most of it. As I use this item more, if I learn more, I will update my post.

We have a dry spot on our lawn and the small sprinkler heads we've used to date are just too weak to cover the entire area (about 40' across). This impact sprinkler is fantastic. The build is very robust with quality metal parts. This sprinkler can throw a spray out 20-30' without any difficulty using our standard garden water outlet and pressure. The connection is standard 3/4" garden hose so very easy to set up. The included tripod is height adjustable and super convenient to have as we can place it securely on any surface. This is an excellent professional quality sprinkler. We've been using this for months, and it is just outstanding. The arc and spray are both fully adjustable. Highly recommend!

An impressive sprinkler
I have a family garden. This year we added raised beds to improve production along with insect netting hoops and trellises. We were looking for a way to improve our sprinkler to reach all of the additions. This looked like a good sprinkler for that purpose.
The Good:
-The sprinkler is impressively made. Each leg has two easy-adjusting telescoping adjustments. The tripod is stable and sturdy. The legs are powder-coated. metal.
-The sprinkler head is brass with 4 adjustments to create coverage for the area.
-The connection for the host comes from the middle of the tripod so that it does not move the tripod off balance during movement.
The Bad:
-Nothing
This sprinkler exceeds my expectations. I laminated the instructions for the sprinkler head. A plus would be a small tag with fast instructions that hangs from the sprinkler head.
